The Charter Varsity picked up three more wins last week and solidified the number 3 position in the Power Rankings used for the CIF Playoffs. That brings the overall record to 19-4 with three games remaining in the regular season. Unfortunately we had to cancel the 2 JV games scheduled for last Monday and Wednesday due to lack of eligible players. 

This week we will have either a JV or Varsity game every day from Monday through Friday. Monday is a home JV game against San Dieguito and Tuesday is a road game against San Pasqual JV. Varsity plays league games at home against Foothills Christian on Wednesday and Coastal Academy on Friday. Since Santa Fe Christian has only one loss and will probably win out, we have to win those two league games to tie for first in the Coastal League. Thursday’s game is at Mission Vista. Mission Vista is ranked 2nd in the CIF Power Rankings and we will most likely play them again at some point in the playoffs. 

Friday’s home game against Coastal Academy will be Senior Day where we honor our graduating seniors Jade and Gionna. 

The schedule for this week is as follows:

Monday: JV home game vs. San Dieguito at 4:00 early release is at 2:30

Varsity will practice before the JV game and hit in the cage during the JV game

Tuesday: JV road game at San Pasqual at 4:00. Early release at 2:30

Varsity will practice at the normal time of 4:30 to 6:00

Wednesday: Varsity home game vs. Foothills Christian at 4:00. Early release is at 2:45

Thursday: Varsity away game at Mission Vista at 4:00. Early release is at 2:15

JV off

Friday: Varsity home game vs. Coastal Academy (Senior Day) at 4:00. Early release at 2:30

JV should come to celebrate the seniors 

The CIF playoffs will start the week of May 13. As long as we stay ranked in the top 4, we will get a bye and likely play at home on Thursday May 16. The playoff brackets will be released next Saturday.
