Hello Football Families,
I have three important topics for you all this week.
Topic 01 - I am sad to say that our Novice game is cancelled this week. Francis Parker is unable to field a Novice Team. With this said Novice is invited to suit up for the varsity game this Friday night and join us on the field.
Topic 02 - Senior Teacher Appreciation Night is coming up Friday October 27th. Seniors it's time to select a teacher that has impacted your high school career the most.
Your Task:
1. Select a Teacher and invite them to our game on Friday October 27th (Teachers and their families enter for free).
2. Write a hand written thank you (See Example: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1aY-GrFubv7BZfNQmj7BZ0zxFv6UuHHTC/view)
3. Take a picture with your letter and jersey (I will give you a new practice jersey) and then submit the photo of this to Coach Goodman.
3. Give them the jersey with the letter.
4. Have this completed by 10/13
Topic 03 - Show me your Friends and I will Show You Your Future.
Last week I watched a clip from the film Rudy. The scene depicts the Norte Dame football team giving up their spot on the field so that their teammate named Rudy can suit up and play. Their sacrifice for their teammate Rudy was made easy because Rudy had been a teammate and friend through his sacrifice each day at practice. It is these players on our teams today that build a positive culture. We want every player on our team to be friend that gives of themselves for purpose greater than self. When we have a friend's like this, we have a friend forever. Show me your friends and I’ll show you your future. The big question is, “Am I friend that gives my own friends a bright future?"
