Hello team,
Great work again this past Saturday! Love what I am seeing out on the court.
As we head towards tryouts on November 5th I have decided to go to one workout a week on Tuesdays from 4pm - 6pm. Once the season hits we will be going 5 days a week so I thought I would pull back these next two weeks. That being said I hope you are taking time on your own to get shots up and work on some of the fundamentals we have been working on in the gym. I also want to encourage you to come into this season as in shape as possible so we can get right to work. You have two weeks until our official start and you can accomplish a lot in that time.
Here are the important dates to have on your calendar:
Tuesday October 25th Workout 4pm - 6pm at HOH
Tuesday November 1st Workout 4pm - 6pm at HOH
Saturday November 5th Tryouts 8am - 10am at ECHS GYM
Monday November 7th regular practices begin. 3pm - 5pm
I have heard from some of you that you will be out of town on Saturday for the tryouts. I understand that this might be an unconventional day as we will not typically practice or have games on Saturdays. That being said I really need everyone to make their best effort to be there if you would like to play this year. How you start a season sets the tone for the rest of the season. IF, you have a very valid reason for not being able to make the tryout on Saturday and you communicate clearly with me I will extend a secondary tryout date for you on Monday the 7th during our scheduled practice time. Our tryouts are more of a skills assessment as we plan to put everyone who comes out on a team, but they are still very important to help us put everyone at the right level.
IF YOU CAN NOT BE AT TRYOUTS ON SATURDAY NOVEMBER 5TH FOR A VALID REASON, PLEASE CONTACT ME TO DISCUSS.
Make sure you have your physical completed before the tryout date.
